It’s Andy’s birthday today – “Happy Birthday Andy”! He’s at work but I got up early with him before he left to open cards and cook him an egg and bacon butty. He’ll be home soon and we’re off to the pub for tea with friends.
I’ve made him some mini cheesecakes. Mini because my oven is mini and i can only fit mini cake pans in it!

So mini cheesecakes, mini oven and there is another mini item that I’ve welcomed into my life today…. A mini automatic washing machine ( the things we get excited about eh?!). We have an ensuite block (sounds posher than it really is believe me!) where our caravan is parked with facilities for a washing machine. Although a little tired it is so much better than using the caravan park washing machines and shower/toilets. I’ve had my eye out for a second hand machine for a few weeks but kept missing them when they came up in the classifieds bit of the local paper – it was all getting a bit frustrating and we really didn’t want to fork out the $$$ for a brand new machine as we’re only here for a few months, so I did a little search on some RV websites and forums and found a great mini machine that got rave reviews and better still we’ll able to take it on our travels with us when we head out of here. I popped into the local RetraVision and asked if they had heard of the model and lo and behold they usually stock them but had sold out so they ordered me one. Yippee! It was $340 but we were going to be paying around $300 here for a second hand one so that made it easier to swallow. It really is a little gem, it’s been working overtime today washing bedding and work clothes, bless it.
And so to todays card. This one is for my sister, she’s had a bit of a rough run recently and I just wanted to tell her that I love her and that I love that she’s my sister.
